Ever wish you stayed in bed?

I did today; my day started off on the wrong foot. I had an appointment at 8 AM about 50 miles from my home. I got up to have my morning coffee and that started the beginning of things going wrong. I used my "grabber" to reach the creamer on the top shelf of the pantry to refill the small container I keep by the coffee pot. As I was getting the creamer I knocked down the coffee container and spilled about half of it on the floor. Ok so cleaned that mess up. Finally had my first cup of coffee; grabbed my keys and cell phone and headed out the door. About 3 miles from home a friendly skunk decided to cross the highway in front of my truck; I thought I slowed down enough so it could get across the road. I really misjudged that and hit the skunk. Now being short on time I had to turn around and head back home. Got our other truck, as my truck was not smelling the greatest. Headed out the door again but I really just wanted to go back to bed. I was about 15 minutes late for my appointment........all in all the day turned ok.

Martha's Bloomers Photography Club held an exhibit on August 14, 2010 at Martha's Bloomers Home and Garden in Navasota Texas. Fifteen club members participated displaying 63 photos. My photo placed in the "Top Ten"

"Funtier Days" Centerville Texas

Each year for the 4th of July weekend a celebration called "Funtier Days" is held in Centerville, Leon County, Texas. I displayed several photos at the Home and Garden Show. My photo of the US Flag won

"Best of Class" in the Patriotic Division.

A Rare Snowfall

It is rare for this area of Texas to have snow. Thursday night we had 3 inches of heavy wet snow. The snowflakes were large and gently covered the ground and trees. It brought back memories of living in Wyoming and Iowa. Friday morning I grabbed my camera and have a ton of fun taking photos.
